Letter from Dr. Kimberley Salene.

I am writing to inform you that after 17 years of providing care at Wilmington Internal Medicine and Alliance Internal Medicine, I will be leaving the practice as of September 9, 2026. The U.S Navy has offered me the incredible opportunity to return to active duty and continue to do what I love, while serving our country. The decision to leave Wilmington and the patients I have cared for over the years was a difficult one, but I have decided that this is the right choice for me at this time.

I understand that you may have concerns about how this change will affect your ongoing care. Rest assured that we have taken steps to ensure a smooth transition. You will continue to receive the same high level of care from one of our other providers. You may choose to continue care with Dr. Ian Foxall or Emily Rhoades, FNP within our practice.

If you prefer to seek care outside of our practice, you have the option to transfer your medical records to a provider of your choice. To request your records please call our office to sign a medical release form. We are happy to assist you with this process.

Should you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 910-762-4600. Our team is here to ensure that your care remains uninterrupted during this time.

Thank you for understanding and for allowing me to be a part of your healthcare journey.

Sincerely,

Kimberley Salene, MD
